The language situation in stateless Ukraine has always been a political issue. The period of the last 30 years, starting with the struggle for the state status of the Ukrainian language on the eve of the collapse of the USSR and ending with our days, was no exception and was very important for the creation of a new Ukraine. For 30 years, Ukraine has gone through a thorny path from the adoption of the law "On languages ​​in the Ukrainian SSR", according to which Ukrainian became the only state language, to the adoption of the first law on the Ukrainian language itself - "On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state one". The struggle for the Ukrainian language is a struggle for the full independence of Ukraine, which means a struggle against the Russian Empire in its historical forms.
