The book Small Ukrainian Diaries is unique. It is the first to collect works of the diary genre that bring the reader a wealth of little-known information from the second half of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The publication includes seven diaries of well-known church figures and representatives of the ruling elite (Atanasiy Filipovych, Dmytro Tuptal, Yuriy Vynnytsky, Mykola Khanenko, Pylyp Borzakivsky and Pavlo Ladynsky, Petro Apostol, Gideon Pazyn), which clearly show the picture of life in the Ukrainian lands of that time, as well as in the territory from the capital of the Russian Empire to Zakarpattia region.
